Shipping MigrateEasy

Two months of building, one final commit, and a free N-400 naturalization wizard about to go live. A short note on what MigrateEasy is, who it is for, and why the form-filling part is free.

ProductBuild in PublicImmigration Tech

After two months of focused building, we just pushed the final commit for MigrateEasy. Release is targeted for the next week or two. Keep an eye on this profile or Algorizin's page for the public announcement.

What MigrateEasy is

MigrateEasy is an immigration form assistance platform. The first product on it is a guided N-400 naturalization wizard, paired with secure document uploads, progress tracking, and direct chat with immigration experts. The goal is to take a process that historically lived in PDFs, paid consultants, and email threads, and put it inside one calm web app.

What it does

  • An automated N-400 wizard that walks users through every section of the citizenship application in plain language, with the right questions surfaced in the right order so nothing important gets skipped.
  • Encrypted document uploads and storage, so passports, tax returns, and supporting paperwork live in one verified place instead of scattered across email attachments and phone screenshots.
  • Progress tracking that does not punish anyone for stepping away for a week and coming back. The wizard remembers where you stopped, what you finished, and what is still needed.
  • On-platform chat with vetted immigration experts for the questions that genuinely sit past the scope of any automated wizard. The expert is one click away when the wizard reaches the edge of its confidence.

Why the wizard is free

Anyone can sign in and start their citizenship process on the platform without paying for the form-filling itself. The platform earns its keep through the expert tier for the questions that are genuinely past the scope of a wizard, where personalized guidance is the actual value. The math we hope users do is the obvious one: a few hundred dollars saved on filing assistance is real money for the people we are building for.

What this build meant

This is the most challenging and rewarding product I have worked on so far. The scope sat at an awkward but interesting intersection: strict regulatory accuracy, because you cannot afford to get a citizenship form wrong; real document handling, because security and reliability are not optional when someone is uploading the only copy of their green card; and a UX that has to feel calm through a genuinely emotional process.

Full-stack development. UI and UX design. Two months felt short for a product like this. The reason it shipped on time is that I was not building it alone.

Credits

  • Max built the N-400 form filler that does the actual paperwork, and shouldered serious backend work to get the platform to the point where it could go live. None of this works without that piece.
  • Siam provided the mentorship, dev support, and the kind of quiet guidance that shortens entire weeks of uncertainty when you are not sure which direction to take.

Cannot wait to share the live link. More to come.
